I like trying to live a healthy lifestyle where food is my medicine, natural supplements are used to boost health, and stress is kept to a minimum. I also love doing in depth research to really learn how and why things are the way they are.
There is a big misconception that saturated fat and cholesterol are bad for us, but that is simply not true! Saturated fats are actually the best kind! Trans fats are the fats that should be vilified. Monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats are good in small amounts, but too many will make you fat!
By filling our bodies with nutrient dense foods, we are building a strong foundation of health that is the best kind of preventative “medicine”. The focus should be more on what we can eat rather than what we can’t eat. In these articles, I’ll explore in depth why each of these “superfoods” are so good at keeping us in optimal health.

Pharmaceutical companies are billion dollar corporations out to make a profit. Because they are publicly traded, their number one priority is to make a money, not to help mankind. And while there may instances where these drugs are useful, they are pushed on to consumers way too often. We need to be aware and beware.
